A VERY DARWIN CHRISTMAS PAGEANT

Get ready to experience a tropical Christmas, with A Very Darwin Christmas Pageant set to welcome Santa to Darwin on Saturday 16 November 2024! 

More than 13,000 people attended last year’s event and this year is going to be bigger and better than ever. This year’s parade will kick-off at 5.30pm, which means less time in the sun and more time to spread Christmas cheer. 

The annual Lord Mayors lighting of the Christmas tree will dazzle crowds at 7pm, officially beginning the festive season for our beautiful city! 

This year’s pageant will also include:  

  • A range of fun entertainment and activities along the parade route for the family to enjoy. 
  • Delicious food vans offering your favourite snacks and treats. 
  • Accessible and free parking throughout the city. 
  • Plus of course our incredible float participants and groups of entertainers and who will spread the Christmas cheer. 

We’ll be keeping our website up to date with the latest event details and information to make sure you have everything you need to kick off our tropical festive season in Darwin.

Register A Float

The best way to participate in this year’s Christmas Pageant is by registering a float as part of the parade! Sing, dance, march or drive your way through Darwin City, spreading Christmas cheer and joy to all those who watch.

Loudest School Competition

Do you have the loudest, merriest and most excited students in Darwin? Register your primary school for the Loudest School competition, and you’ll go in the running to win the use of one of three professionally built and decorated mini floats plus $1,000 to help your school get involved in the A Very Darwin Christmas Pageant 2024.
